Meet the team behind the money management service – exclusive to
JETS participants in Greater Manchester.

A wealth of financial experience and a keen ability to find solutions make
our three advisors the perfect link in solving your money concerns.

Parveen Akhtar: Senior advisor

Parveen has 18 years’ experience in various aspects of the financial sector. She began her career with the Citizens Advice Bureau, where she spent 10 years gaining valuable experience as a general and debt advisor. During this time she also completed a law degree and a legal professional course.

Since then, she has worked in the Money Advice Service where her responsibilities included managing the delivery across the largest region outside of London.

Parveen regards financial issues as one of the most difficult things people have to deal with and urges anyone struggling with them to sign up to Ingeus’s free, confidential service.

“There is a minefield of information and jargon to go through, and having someone who can support you through this without any hidden agenda or sales pitch and offer only unbiased advice, is a good starting point.”

David Dunkerley: Money management advisor

David has over 15 years’ experience in the financial sector. He has worked within a number of leading high street banks and building societies, as well as spending time as an independent financial advisor.

He has a vast range of knowledge in different aspects of finances, including mortgages, pensions, life cover and investments. Having earned his professional FPC and Mortgage CeMAP qualification, David is able to provide information and guidance on financial and mortgage matters.

David is looking forward to providing help and support to people who are unemployed and facing often complex financial matters. He is keen to show that there’s always a solution to any financial problem.

Ian Girvin: Money management advisor

Ian is keen to use his skills and experience to guide and assist people with their finances in a constructive way. Reflecting on the informative workshops, he sees education as one of the money management service’s greatest strengths in helping people to overcome any problems.
