JETS, the Job Entry Targeted Support Scheme, can help Jobcentre Plus customers find a job and return to work.

JETS offers people who have been unemployed for three months or more a bespoke package of support to help them build their confidence, expand their skill, access jobs from employers that aren't listed elsewhere and prepare for interviews.

How JETS can support Jobcentre Plus customers

Your customers will get a dedicated Employment Coach who has extensive knowledge of the local labour market and will offer one to one support via regular remote sessions, and face to face meetings if necessary.

Some of the ways JETS Employment Coaches could help your customers include:

  • Support of job search skills such as CV building and interview preparation.
  • Advice around looking for work in new sectors if appropriate.
  • 24/7 access to our online careers platform.
  • Access to local and national vacancies from employers that might not be advertised elsewhere.
  • Connections to local training providers to help them build or expand their current skillset.
  • Signposting to local community services that could help them maintain their health and wellbeing and tackle any issues that are affecting their job search.
  • Financial support for things such as travel to interviews using public transport, interview or work clothes, DBS checks or PPE.
