Giving back

There's a strong sense of charity that runs throughout Ingeus. It's not uncommon to find our Ingeus people getting involved in charity events all over the UK, and even further afield. We encourage everyone at Ingeus to take two days' paid leave each year to volunteer in their local community. We also match fund up to £500 for colleagues who have raised money for charity, whether it's shaving their head or climbing Everest.

Reducing our carbon footprint

One of our core values is 'doing the right thing' and this doesn't just apply to how we deliver services - we also strive to support the environment and our local communities.

Each year, we plant hundreds of trees based on how many boxes of paper we consume as an organisation. We also have a self-nominated team of colleagues who look for new and innovative ways to reduce our carbon footprint.

Green energy suppliers provide roughly 60% of the energy Ingeus consumes from renewable sources, including solar, wind and hydro-power.

What our people say about working for Ingeus

"My passion comes from working for an organisation that helps people, I want to feel I am making a positive difference, and that’s Ingeus purpose. I’ve worked on large projects in health, justice and employability; Ingeus is a very dynamic place to work, there’s always something new around the corner. There’s career progression if you’re open to change and embrace new ideas. There’s no typical day for me, and I enjoy that. Ingeus gives me the scope to think big and to think differently."
Richard Angrave,Head of Data, Insight and Continuous Improvement.

"I am part of a 20-strong team across Derbyshire, supporting both employed and unemployed people to enjoy the benefits of a working life. In our team each of us comes from a different background and possesses a mix of experience. There is a varied age range, gender balance, and cultural variety but what we share is a real desire to help people.
Thanks to the pandemic I have never physically met any other members of my team. We are nothing if not adaptable and have all slotted into the new remote normal with ease.
High points in my day might be the excitement of a client being offered an interview or job! There can be challenges too.
My team make this job worth doing. I would highly recommend it!"
